Ride type: 4 to 5 riding days, with average of 40 to 60km per day, and 600 to 1500m daily accumulated meters 

Ride by the UNESCO world landscape the “Douro Vinhateiro”, up in the Douro river, and discover the culture, tradition and great wines of this amazing region. In this bike tour, that starts in the demarcated wine region, you’ll ride by the farms, cellars and the most beautiful viewpoints over the Douro river. Relaxing in amazing wine hotels, you will have the chance to ride by one of the most important regions in Portugal. 

We will meet in Porto for a private briefing and to hand you the GPS with preloaded tracks, routebook and other gear for your ride, before you board your train to Peso da Régua, where the first demarcated wine region of the wold starts - the Douro valley!

Check-in at your hotel in Peso da Régua, where you will be riding and exploring the region. The next two days, you’ll get to go on loops adapted to your skills and experience and explore Lamego, Galafura, Peso da Régua, Adorigo and other villages in the area, as well as visiting the wine farms of the area. On the third day, ride towards Pinhão, the heart of the “Douro Vinhateiro” and check-in at the next hotel, just by the riverside. Enjoy riding by Pinhão, Tabuaço, Favaios and discover the “adegas” and amazing gastronomy of the area and, on the last day, take the beautiful train alongside the river back to Porto.

Day 5: Pinhão loop - Casal de Loivos ride ( 45km), Foz do Tua ride ( 55 to 110km);
Transfer on the douro train back to Porto;

"Discover the International Douro " option includes:

• 2 additional nights at hotels in São João da Pesqueira, Vila Nova de Foz Côa or Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo ( depending on your riding skills), with breakfast included, in double accomodation;
• Additional luggage transfer from Pinhão to other hotels;
• Additional 2 day Bike Rental (if applicable);
• Transfer back to Peso da Régua train station on day 7;

Can I start a tour in any date? Yes, you can, as these are private self-guide tours, for you and your group only. Subject to availability.
How many people are required to book? We accept bookings for a minimum of 2 guests on our self-guided bike tours.
Do you require downpayment? When is the total payment due? We require a downpayment of 50% of the value of the tour upon booking. The remaining value us due 30 days before the start date of your tour.

What are the accepted payment methods?
We accept payment via Paypal and any other major credit/debit cards. Payment for all tours and rentals are made entirely upon booking, and online.

What's your cancellation policy for bike tours?
If you need to cancel or change your bike tour to unexpected circumstances, our cancellation policy follows below:

• Bike tour cancellation requested 120 days before tour:
  100% of the value payed is refunded;
• Bike tour cancellation requested between 119 to 90 days:
  60% of the value payed is refunded;
• Bike tour cancellation requested between 89 to 30 days:
  50% of the value payed is refunded;
• Bike tour cancellation requested 29 days, or less, before the tour:
  No refunds;
